PATRON SIR CHARLES GRAY CBE, FRSA. FEIS, JP

As you will see from above we have our first Patron we are all delighted, also a new web site.

We had a good year, Scottish Power gave us a shop for consultation, the Big Lottery paid for leaflets questionnaires and car stickers. We are through the first round and they are giving us funds to pay for professionals to take us to the next stage. Jim Scott (Retired Business Executive) has joined us. AFH and TSB Foundation gave us funds for Options Appraisal. We have applied to Historic Scotland and have had a positive response. We have met with Heritage Lottery and are optimistic about getting funds from them. We owe so much to so many people yourselves, Kirkintilloch Herald, Computer Corner, Graham Gas who wrote a song about the Hall, CDs for sale in October at Ladies and Male Voice Choirs Concert. Kirkintilloch Players and many groups who have given us donations. Also Computer Corner. We have written to all Councillors and have had heartening responses from them.

Antiquaries launched a History of the Town Hall, we are to get all the profits, and it is selling well. We have been given funds from Kirkintilloch Players and many groups. Dulux have given us paint. We started selling bricks in May this year, they have really caught on. We have over 350 members who get an update every 2 months Connelley Securities are posting them for us and The Brass Foundry are paying for the printing. We were at Kirky Gala, good day until tent fell down. We will be at the Canal Day 26th August and CVS Big Gathering 8th September. Many of you have paid a second membership. If you wish to please send to Tres. Stewart Morrison 1 Arran Dr.Kirkintilloch Glasgow G66 1QU.
